So what gift we will give this Christmas? But not only this Christmas, but also every day of the year. Will it be the gift of love by telling our family and friends how special they are to us? The gift of consolation by remembering those who have no one else to remember them; by visiting those who have no one to visit them? Bringing the gift of laughter to those who are in sorrow; imparting the gift of faith, by keeping Jesus Christ as the focus of our Christmas.
There is no greater gift around the holiday season than the wonderful joy of traditional Christmas carols. All three of these popular selections capture the spirit and true meaning of what Christmas is all about during this very special time of the year. Band directors will discover how accessible the music is to prepare, while students will simply enjoy the fun that it takes to perform this exciting work. Merry Christmas!
The Gift Of Christmas
Jim Brickman: The Gift of Christmas celebrates the gift of family, the gift of friends, the gift of peace, and the gift of love, wrapped up in sweet sounds of the season only he and his piano can provide.
Each set in this collection creates a gorgeous shaped card, with a section that slides open to reveal a space for your secret message. With a range of cute and festive designs available you can tuck your sentiments inside a Christmas stocking, wrap your words up in a gift box and more!
The toy drive continues through Dec. 19, and the gifts are delivered on Dec. 22-23. Toys and monetary donations can be made at Town Square Media at 6341 Westport Rd. or all Citizen National Banks in Shreveport and Bossier.
In fact, if the box turned out to be a bigger hit than the contents, you would not only be offended, but also might wonder how the recipient was so enamored with the flash of the packaging that they missed the beauty of the gift itself.
God, the giver of this precious, perfect gift, is honored when we receive and worship Jesus at Christmas. It brings him glory when all the fun traditions, parties, gadgets, lights, busyness, and food that come with this season serve to point in celebration to him, and what truly lights up the eyes of his children is the relationship that we have with Christ Jesus our Savior.
